Natural Apiculture in Cranberry Country

We practice a natural form of beekeeping inspired by 19th Century European apiculture on our 3.5 acre apiary in Carver, Massachusetts. 

We use horizontal Layens style hive boxes to mimic the concept of a downed tree. each hive is insulated with lambs wool to promote healthy overwintering in our Northern climate.

Our colonies do not receive sugar water or chemical treatments. Our Apiary is located next to a large fresh water kettle pond and surrounded by nature.

This enables us to harvest pure honeycomb, beeswax, propolis and honey with less disturbance to the bees natural cycle while improving colony health and survival.
